Creating More Opportunities
to Move and Play

Being active is easier when people have safe, welcoming places to move, play, and connect. MAC (Move Anderson Community) brings community partners together to support active living opportunities across Anderson County. The work focuses on creating access to physical activity, encouraging movement at every age, and supporting spaces and programs that help people stay active and connected.

Our Initiatives

Moving People and Communities Forward

MAC supports initiatives that make physical activity more accessible and create opportunities for people to move in ways that fit their lives. That includes expanding programs for older adults, supporting active summer experiences for children, and creating community spaces where people can exercise, learn, and connect.

Rocky River Conservancy Discovery and Wellness Trail

A proposed addition to Rocky River Nature Park would promote healthy lifestyles and environmental stewardship. The project would enhance the existing 1.2-mile scenic loop with eight wellness stations and five interactive educational kiosks for residents and visitors of all ages.

OverEasy Exercise

An accessible, low-impact exercise program helps older adults build strength, balance, agility, and social connections. Efforts are underway to expand the program into additional communities across Anderson County, bringing more opportunities for physical activity and connection closer to home.

Camp iRock

A summer program for elementary students ages 5–11 combines academic learning with enrichment and recreation. Through physical activity and nutrition education, campers build healthy habits, stay active, and continue learning while enjoying an engaging and enriching summer experience.

Open Community Use

Helping residents discover green spaces and family-friendly places for physical activity throughout Anderson County. By connecting people with spaces in their community, this initiative encourages residents of all ages to get outside, stay active, and enjoy time together.
