Making Healthy Food More Accessible in Anderson County
Healthy eating starts with having access to nutritious food and the knowledge to make choices that support your well-being. EATs (Everyone at the Table) brings community partners together around the factors that shape healthy eating in Anderson County. The work focuses on food access, nutrition education, and practical ways to make healthy choices more accessible across the community.
Our Coalition
Bringing People and Resources to the Table
EATs supports initiatives that meet people where they are and address some of the barriers that can make healthy eating difficult. That includes expanding access to fresh, affordable food, bringing nutrition education into the community, and supporting programs that connect food with long-term health.
Bringing HEAL to You
A mobile healthy food pantry and teaching kitchen designed to bring nutritious food, food education, and hands-on learning directly into Anderson County communities. The initiative is intended to reach residents experiencing food insecurity, living in food deserts, or facing transportation and mobility barriers.
Wellness Initiative
The Anderson Free Clinic Wellness Initiative takes a food-as-medicine approach, combining a Free Wellness Market with fresh produce, nutrition classes, and dietitian consultations to support healthier choices and improved health.
FoodShare Transition
LiveHealthy Anderson County is providing transitional support in partnership with Feed&Seed to help maintain continuity of FoodShare services as the program moves to a new home.
